Greetings from "Sherwood Forest"

 Hi there all you metal detectorist's the information on the site is for all to see and enjoy.

 

The Society

We the Society are a group of people, of all ages and from all walks of life,who are interested in using Metal Detectors for the purpose of recovering and recording history.  The Society was formed in March 1999. and now has a fixed membership of 40 adults and a Junior section for Boys or Girls under 15 years. The Society holds general meetings on a monthly basis, we welcome everyone who actively wishes to share their interest of this fascinating hobby.

We have always been a family society encouraging youngsters into the hobby. This fascinating hobby of ours is highly educational, will broaden the mind, give you fresh air, also the beauty of the countryside and good comradeship.

"Meeting Night in the Club Room".

This is our permanent venue at the Stables Bar           Parish Centre, Warsop.           

Visitors Welcome. "Please Note"  The club room is now a "No Smoking" venue.

 

The Society has all the high tech equipment to be able to come and visit your community groups to provide an interesting Illustrated talk about the hobby of Metal Detecting. Members are always available to travel to any destination and will also bring a hands on exhibition of historical finds dating back over 3000 years.
