Welcome to the Warsop Metal Detecting Society. Our society is based in the Sherwood Forest region of Nottinghamshire England. The site is dedicated to recovering, recording and displaying our past.The club meets regularly on the second Thursday of every month in the Parish Center, Warsop, Notts.. At these meetings we sometimes have a guest speaker followed by a raffle and the "Coin of the Month" and "Artefact of the Month" competition.

Members bring along their finds to the meetings and these are viewed and discussed by those present.  We do have some very knowledgeable members, who will always be pleased to assist with identification.

Like other metal detecting clubs we carry out the practical side of the hobby in the form of "Club Digs". These take place on Sundays throughout the year and it is fair to say that not many outings are missed. The digs are restricted to members only and members enter their finds from these digs into the 'Find of the Month' competitions.
